With a 64-9 win over Westland, the Rocks go to 3-0 in the conference and 5-0 overall. The win sets up a home conference showdown with Upper Arlington on January 30th. Both teams are undefeated and the winner will walk away with the OCC Central Division title. Go Rocks.
Coffman finished 1st out of 17 teams at the Jeff Arndt Classic. With 10 individual champions, the squad was able to put up 480 points while the second place team (Grove City) scored 247 points. It was a dominating performance for the team. On Thursday January 23rd, the Rocks will travel to Westland to take on the Cougars in an OCC dual. Go Rocks.
The Rocks traveled to Marysville for an OCC showdown with the Monarchs. The team came home with a 56-19 win. With the win, the team runs their record to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference. Everyone wrestled with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. On behalf of the coaching staff, we’d like to thank our fans for making the trip. Our fans are truly second to none.
Coffman started their journey for a fourth straight league title win a convincing home win over Central Crossing 76-6. It was Youth and Middle School Night for Rocks Wrestling and the crowd didn’t disappoint. The Rocks travel to Marysville next Thursday evening for a showdown with the Monarchs.
The Rocks closed out the month of December at the prestigious Brecksville Holiday Tournament. The field was made up of some of the best teams in the state of Ohio and Michigan. Out of 49 teams, Coffman finished 9th. Placers included Nick Copley (7th), Mitchell Broskie (4th), and Seth Shumate (champion). The squad will be back in action at home on Jan. 9th at 6 pm against Central Crossing. The match will be the conference opener for both teams.
